Description: Created by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964, the Presidential Service Badge (PSB) replaced the White House Service Badge created in 1960 by President Eisenhower and continued through the Kennedy Administration. Each PSB is individually numbered with the very lowest numbers, like this 1609 (out of near 25,000 awarded to date), are very scarce and means it was awarded in 1966. The hallmark of Williams & Anderson Co. can be seen on the reverse to the far left.
